王女士收藏有两把青玉和白玉五孔刀。
青玉五孔刀长468毫米，宽94毫米，厚4毫米。该玉刀有乳白色沁斑，刀背钻有五孔，为典型的齐家文化玉器。
而白玉五孔刀长404毫米，宽86毫米，刀背厚3毫米，刀刃厚1毫米。这把玉刀已出现钙化斑点，刀背上有五个圆孔，从厚度仅1毫米的刀刃不难看出其做工极其精细。
吴教授介绍说，在古代，玉刀一般作为礼器，它既是权力的象征，也是收割的象征。其形状大致有两种，一种就是王女士收藏的这种，为扁平的长方形，一侧为刀背，一侧为刀刃；另一种则做成了带柄的形状。就齐家玉器来说，不仅有五孔刀，还有三孔、七孔等。
