工艺组成：
CAST工艺主体构筑物由SBR反应池组成，反应池内主要分为选择区和反应区。在CAST系统中，至少应设两个池子，以使系统能实现连续进水。一般地，在个池子中进水和曝气，在另一个池子中沉淀和滗水，反之亦然。在多池系统中，通过合理的选择循环过程，可以使出水连续。使无机颗粒与有机污物分离，定期将砂排入晒砂，干化后清除。污水经沉砂池后由配水管自流进入CAST池进行生物处理，处理达标后排放或部分回用。污泥则进入污泥浓缩罐，再经污泥脱水机脱水后外运。

关键技术参数
典型的设计运行参数为：F/M值为0.04-0.10 kgBOD5/(kgMLVSS•d)；
容积负荷为0.1-0.3kgBOD5/(m3•d);
MLSS为2000-5000mg/L;
SRT为10-30d;
总HRT为15-40d。

CAST工艺特点
对污染物降解，在时间上是一个推流过程，微生物处于好氧-缺氧-厌氧周期性变化之中，因此，CAST工艺具有较好的脱氮、除磷功能。其采用连续进水，一个完整的操作周期包括，曝气阶段、沉淀阶段、滗水阶段和闲置阶段四个步骤。CAST工艺无需初沉池、二沉池，具有建设费用低，占地面积省，运行费用低，自动化控制程度高，管理方便，氮、脱磷去除效果好，出水稳定，运行可靠，耐负荷冲击能力强，不发生污泥膨胀等优点。

CAST工艺采用UASB反应器，生化调试启动快，处理，占地面积小，沼气产量稳定，实现沼气稳定回收利用，节能环保，经济效益明显。风干污泥作为有机肥料用于农作物施肥。出水水质优于行业标准，直接回用农田灌溉，回用率90%。
