说明：张大千，名爰，又名季，季爰，字大千，别号大千居士，四川内江人。别署大千居士、下里巴人、斋名大风堂。中国近现代画家。因其诗、书、画与齐白石、溥心畬齐名，故被称为“南张北齐”和“南张北溥”。徐悲鸿评其曰“五来一大千”。

张大千善摹古人笔迹，尤以仿石涛画堪为海内绝技，腕下如有鬼神相助，常令鉴赏家为之失眼，有“石涛再世”之誉。大千早年出四川而居海上，有着中国收藏界半壁江山之称的上海滩使他所见益广，又得曾农髯、李瑞清二名师指授，艺事为之猛进。二三十年代的上海滩，藏家注重清初遗民野逸画风，清初四大画僧的作品被广为推崇，其中又以石涛的画作为行俏，遂在十里洋场上掀起了一股石涛热，巨贾显宦竞相以有无石涛画作为收藏身价的。青年张大千身居海上，当然也被时风濡染，加之曾、李二师对于石涛画艺的推崇，使他一头扎进石涛的艺术世界之中，由登堂入室而渐窥堂奥，终于夺得骊珠，成为石涛化身。

四十年代中期是张大千山水画的一个高峰，此时的大千正值年富力强之时，加之敦煌之行的积淀和收到一批伪满皇宫流出的宋元名迹（俗称东北货）的奇遇，使得张大千的心情极为舒畅。与宋元名迹的朝夕相对，使大千笔下的山川烟云更为飘渺鲜活，多年来血战古人的功夫达到了状态。从抗战胜利后到离开大陆前的数年中，张大千迭出，这批画作在今天看来也无愧是张大千平生之作，后来由于眼疾问题，张大千已不能再作“三日一山、五日一水”的宋元山水，而转向了风格更为粗犷的泼彩山水。
