墙体是以素土、当地沙土和熟石灰加水混合搅拌后夯筑而成，其中素土和沙土均从附近非耕植用地中取得。上述建筑材料几乎都不需要经过再加工生产，均可直接作为建筑材料使用，不会对自然环境造成破坏，而且它们基本上取自于自然，将来拆除后大部分材料也能再利用或者回归自然。

对于伸出屋面的污水管和通风管道，管道周围的找平层应做成圆锥台，管道和找平层间应留凹槽，并嵌填密封材料，管道四周增设附加层，并用合成高分子材料做成泛水圈，包在管道外壁粘合，泛水圈上口用金属箍箍紧，管道与泛水圈之间用密封材料密封。
对于屋面与垂直墙的交接，可采用踏步泛水，在两面交接处先装边长为200mm×200mm弯折成直角的金属泛水，100mm搭接在屋面彩色沥青油毡瓦初始层上并固定，另外100mm铺贴到墙面，然后外铺屋彩色沥青油毡瓦，正好将其屋面部分全部覆盖，接着再铺第二层金属泛水及第二屋彩色沥青油毡瓦，依次类推，在垂直墙面上再用长200mm，500mm宽的一边伸入墙体并用沥青胶或水泥沙浆密封。
